Heh - I made a resolution to clean out the office supply drawer and the computer junk drawer. Did it 3 years ago - needs to happen again. When you live in a small apartment and have no car, your goals are small.

When you move into a house, then move again and the second house has a basement, for more space to store your projects that don’t fit in your garage.

More space = more stuff.

I need to go through the kitchen junk drawer and clean that out too.

My grandpa died a couple years ago and left 2 airplane hangars full of shit. My dad won’t consent to throwing any of it away, but he’s also too cheap to rent a storage unit. So my beautiful, pristine, glorious shop looks like this:

The garage looks ok though, although thanks to a Sunday afternoon that got much sloppier than expected, we’ve got a Cadillac missing in action.

Sorry about your grandpa.

I don’t know if this isa one up, but my grandma used to work at a fabric store, and when she died my mom got all that.

Not airplane hangars full but more fabric & patterns then my mom will ever use. When we have family gatherings my mom tries to get my wife to take some home. Even bought her a cheap sewing machine that's not worth it.

Lol. Thanks bud. My grandma on the other side was big on sewing. They were super poor back when my mom was a kid. My grandpa was in the Navy, and my grandma would make dresses for all the admirals’ wives for extra money. Luckily she had 4 daughters, so all her shit got split up 4 ways, and my mom doesn’t insist on keeping her share in my goddamn shop.

You would be surprised at the amount of stuff you can jam into a 575SF Manhattan apartment. The owner made lots of nice storage space last time he demo’d it (2000 or so). We will have at least 2 big bags of clothing donations this Christmas, and no shortage of clothes to wear.

I was thinking I needed to do a garage cleaning since my junk has encroached to the point I need to shift stuff around to get room to pump a floor jack. After seeing this, maybe I can wait.....
